After the Qualifications

Well first of all I want to apologize for that I didn't update my blog I had some problems with my internet connection and was very busy training. The last few weeks have been very exiting for me. I trained for two weeks in Workum and I sailed my qualification championship. Unfortunately I didn't Qualify for the youth worlds but Ard van Aanholt who's also sailing for the Netherlands Antilles. Of course I'm a bit disappointed in myself but on the other hand I'm also proud of myself, because the fight between me and Ard was until the final part of the last race so it was very close and an amazing experience. now I'm in scheveningen where i'm sailing the North Sea Regatta witch is one of the biggest event's sailed in the Netherlands. After this I will start training again for other upcoming championship.

Hi everyone,

A few days ago I arrived in the Netherlands where I'm staying for the next five weeks.
On the 13th of may the qualification for the ISAF youth worlds are going to be sailed in Workum at the Dutch youth regatta . Yesterday I started training and it's really different then what I'm used to it's sooooooo cold! but that's why i came here 3 weeks earlier so I can get used to this and prepare myself good for the qualifications.
well that was it for today I'll be posting again next week.

Back home

Hi everyone,

Well after the exiting South and Central American championship where I finished 19th overall and 5th of youth I came back home and took a nice rest of two days. I really enjoyed the South and Central American championship, There where many good sailors and it was quite hard to sail in the front of the fleet so I learned a lot. I made some new friends who are coming to train with me in Mar del Plata the upcoming month, so that's going to be a good preparation for the championships I'm going to sail in the Netherlands next month! Yesterday I started training in the gym again and that's what I'm going to do full time the next ten day's because my boat isn't arriving until then.

Aaaaaand of course picture's of the South and Central American Championship!

Hi everyone!!

Well yesterday I arrived in Brasil and today I trained with the sailors of other countries for a while wich was very nice because they're all good sailors. Tomorrow morning I'm going to clean my boat, after that it has to be measured by the organization and in the afternoon I'm going training. Saturday the championship starts!!! I'm really exited to race against all the good sailors in Central and South-America and to do a good result.
